I have to start some where so i put it here.
What models are known of the Maverick, i found 6cil and V8's also the sedan version.
Offcourse we have the difference of production years but stayed everything the same from the 70's till 77 ?

    70 was unique
71-72 were pretty much the same
    73 was unique
74-77 were once again the same, with 77 being the only year with no Maverick emblems

The uni-body was the same for all years, with some floor changes, trunk changes, and brackets here and there.

Some 70's had a 7 1/4 rear end, but all others had 8"
    Engines were 170,200,250,302
3 speeds (column and floor) and c4 auto ( column and floor)

4 cyl versions, GT Mavericks, station wagons...

they are treated like actual musclecar celebrities there. Some of the best looking customized ones come from Brazil.

There's also the fabled Mavstang and the 4x4 ones people make.

Just another obscure model of our favorite car. In some countries they weren't limited by emissions and safety restrictions and kept on making them fast and sporty.
Dave listed all the available American models but since you're headed to Mexico you might find some different versions.
These cars are great. I don't understand why they aren't more popular.

    Tobasco Mexico sounds SPICY!

Thats me. I think the ones South of the border tend to be better than the American ones due to the weather and the respect these cars have in Mexico and lower. There is a million pictures of Brazillian and Mexican Mavericks in the gallery.

We have a member from France who has a Maverick with interesting body lines that he bought from Brazil. Scoubidou is his name. His car has a ribbed body...neat.

The mexicans in my town are mostly only about new cars. The maintenance of older cars is really improvised and thats what worries me the most, only rich people have them totally restored.
But it will be a nice challenge for me to rebuild it........
