I been fooling with it for awhile now. I dont have much data as far as track times except i did run a 7.58 on street tires yesterday. A best for my car on regular tires but also my first time to that track and i made some other changes to the suspension. I drove my car on the street some this summer on the hottest days and it ran 15-20 degrees cooler. So far, i like it.

If you are going to switch to E85 - permanently then jump your compression up to about 13.5:1. It will get your mileage up and increase power.

i ran my 70 429 (around 11.1)on e85 for a while. It was the only way i could get around detonation on the cheap. It loved it felt like it picked up quiet a bit and could run 40* of total timing.I ended up jumping about 10 jet sizes in the primary and right at 8-9 in the secondary. no power valve or PCVR changes other then that i reset the idle and the idle air screws.the intake would frost up at idle when the motor was cool and seemed to help it run overall cooler.

    YMMV

i have heard that 12.5 to 1 is the most comp. your sopose to run, i have been running e85 for 4 yrs now , i got about a .10 faster in the 1/8th mile out of it,my car runs cooler on the street and highway but runs alittle warmer , at idle if you do it for a long time, motor will be crisp with it if tuned right, you can run a little less timing also, for easier starts,it is kinda cold blooded in cold wheather ,but mines starts fine it just cranks a few times in stead if hiting on fist rev. like it did with 93 oc fuel...i didnt change the fuel pump just put a good filter on it ,it will clean all the nasty stuff out of your gas tank, so plan on changing filter several times the 1 st year,a stock fuel pump wont keep up though with a modified motor ,it uses about 25 to 30 % more fuel ,i use to be able to make 6 passes on 5 gal. of 93 now i use 6 to 7 gal of e85 ,you really notice it on the street more lol....but cost to extra use is about break even with super unleaded gas to e85 if your using say reg. unleaded ,you will pay more to run e85, and if you have say a 10 to 1 comp or more motor and running race gas ,6.00 to 8.00 a gal.,it will save you a ton of money ,i build my own carbs. also

FLEX FUEL, fuel - 85% ethanol blended with 15% gasoline so you can't drink it. Here in the corn belt it is sold everywhere.

is a good place to start. There's several good sites for info but i use that one and i know it to be full of great info. The switch isn't as bad as most think.
