A friend of mine is wanting to sell is Maverick. It is a 72 grabber. It has a 289 4spd 9inch out of a 67 mustang in it. The motor has a .480 lift cam, flattops. It has a toploader 4spd and new clutch. It has a 9 inch rear with 4.11 gears and a posi traction unit. The body is strait as an arrow. It has a grabber hood, highbacks, spoiler sport mirrors. All the interior needs is a headliner. It also has a nice cd player in it. It has twin exhaust from headers back that runs to twin flowmaster 40's with tailpipes. It is in primer right now. He took me for a ride in it and its quick. It has 295-50-15's on the back. It will destroy them in 1st. It blows the tires off and will go sideways. It starts hooking in 2nd and goes hard through 4th gear. He told me he would sell it for $2600 in primer or $3200 with a paintjob on it. I am thinking of selling my F-100 to buy it. My dad is not crazy about it but said to do what you think is right.

Well for a car thats sounds so great(body and interior) plus melts the tires for $2600.00 is a good price. Just chk the subframes at rear near shackles and the front spring mounts. You don't have to ship it either , so money saved there, I would go for it if I was looking for a mav. JMO (y)

Sounds like a good project but I 'd be really worried about a 300 dollar paint job. Cant even get good paint for that.

he already has the paint. I have seen his paintjobs and they look like glass. I have decided to pass since he went up on price. Its worth it but I can't affored it

Sounds like a pretty sweet car. Even though you said no, any chances of pics?
