as you all know i have a pretty big oil pan on my mav.the problem is i used a mr.gasket dip stick and its not reaching the oil should i have got a longer dip stick.do they make one?
since its a newer roller motor i had to relocate the dip stick to the timing cover.

The oil level in relation to the crank shaft stays the same, It doesn't matter how deep it is under it, Therefore a stock dip stick should work. If your running some other oil level, then just tig on what extra length you would need.

The dip stick should work fine even with the aftermarket pan the oil level stays the same in relation to the block as blown5.0 said. How much oil you got in it now?

i think your right so i will add another 1 and 1/2 quarts and see what happens.
also i drilled the timing cover to accept the dip stick right where every one told me to. may have to drain all the oil add 8 qts. then tig a piece on the stick and mark it.
need to change oil any how.
