im going to be doing hooker headers soon does anyone have input on the crappy black painted versus the ceramic coated. which do i use. the ceramic are almost twice the money but i hate the black paint burnoff from the stock headers. ARE THEY WORTH IT?

i have the ceramic coated ones on my car. they still look great. they do seem to keep the temp under the hood cooler. when ive had uncoated headers you can feel the heat raidiateing off them from pretty far away. with the coating you dont get that radiant heat feeling. pluse they jsut look good. susposedly the ceramic coating keeps rust from forming inside the tube wich will rob power also. so you gaing good looks, lower under hood temp, and more power.

Not in my opinion, I had (have) a set of the "coated" guaranteed for life 6901s. After about 2 years the coating down low started bubbling. Well to make the story short i ended up wrapping the tubes, I'm much happier with the wrap than the coating.

i would get the cheaper ones and wrap them to save some coin. but if your going for looks and longevity of the headers themselves, then ceramic is the way to go. but damn they are expensive. thats why mine are cheap and then wrapped(y)

From looking at the catalog.. it seems like the Summit ones are hookers.. i tried asking the jegs guys but they "can't give out that info".. but i did ask if the ports were oval or square to which he said oval.. so nay on the jeg ones being hookers.... but the summit ones??? anyone use the Summit ones?
