My master cylinder has been starting to go out over the past few weeks, and now i have to pump it to stop, so, until I rebuild the brake system, I am garaged again.

JEGS had an ad for a shiny master cylinder with adjustable proportioning valves, but I threw the magazine away and don't know what brand it was.

I DO want it to be stainless or something so it wont eat the paint off and be a rusty crud-bucket under the hood.

Other than that, it just needs to work.

The one I have now is my 3rd or 4th, so rebuilds are not the issue, it needs to be new.

I will also be adding later model mustang dual piston calipers to the front. Got to get this all done by spring.

So, any suggestions on the master cylinder make/model?

That looks good Dave! (y) Does the push rod lock in to the Master Cylinder?

I can't really remember, but I think it does, I played with a few different length push rods, before I was happy with the pedal height.
I'll get the number off the box, for the bore size I used. I had planned on putting disc brakes on the rear of this car, at one time, but not now.
I'm using silicone fluid, disc's on the front, drum on the rear, and man, you can stand on this thing, and you'll stop!! I bought an adjustable proportioning valve, but never used it, stuck with the stock 73 drum/drum one.

1" bore works with the stock pedal ratio. 90 Ranger has the correct fittings on the shock tower side, 90 Mustang has metric fittings on the engine side of the cylinder and 25mm bore. Both have the residual valve built in.

I am looking at Wilwoods at Summit. Can someone suggest a part number that will work with my car? I have no idea what size the holes are, or anything.

Of course not. Just pull it up on the Spec Sheet on your website...like this...http://scooper77515.fordmaverick.net/specsheet.htm

But of course, if you don't have one of those, then sure. Walk out there.

    How deep is the snow?
