i said yes because i like to see all kinds of cars and trucks, however, this is a MMB and that should remain the focus of all of us. there's a place for everything. if there's a technical question it should be in the tech section. a lot of others could go in the off topic. if i'm not interested i'll skip that post but it dosen't mean that someone else might not be interested. i say keep it coming, but put it in the right place.:D

I understood your point and I completely agree with it. In fact, it's exactly how I feel about the "Pinto discussion"; it belongs in the Off-Topic section. Why even have an off-topic section if people are just gonna start off-topic theads in the General Discussion or Technical areas?...

I voted no, I dont care to see other makes posted anywhere but the off topic section. Thanks to Stefan we have an option to not see the pics in signatures. I also see that by voting no I am being outvoted by the Yes votes. I go with the flow, if it aint chasing me or eating me, I dont sweat it.

I'm with Don Graham on this one. No need to squelch anyone's interests, just put it into it's proper category. There are so many talented folks here, and this is a great place to show off. Just remember that this is a public forum and we should try to be considerate of one another. There are some things that get my goat from time to time but I try not to complain or put anyone down. If different interests are categorized, we can pick and choose what we look at. Personally I was so glad when the drag racing forum was added. I've never raced, have no desire to do so, nor do I understand all the lingo associated with it. I respect the right of those who race to enjoy their hobby, so now they can fuss over a tenth of a second and I don't have to watch. Everyone wins and I didn't have to say a word about it. Bottom line is, if you don't like it, don't look at it. Categories and user options make that easy to do. Treat everyone with the same respect you'd like to have, and when someone steps out of line once and a while, it's probably best for your blood pressure to ignore it. If it turns into a real problem, Stefan will solve it with everyone's best interests in mind like he always does.

    Sam :)

perhaps if one put up a picture of a 74 firebird in the general maverick discussion board, that would be wrong. All in context, though. If there is a discussion on painting mavs in the general maverick discussion section, and someone wants viper red on their maverick, why the hell not post up a picture of a viper???

As long as signatures can be turned off, there is nothing wrong imo of having a non maverick picture in the signature. Many/most of us have other cars, and many restore another type of car and are just as passionate about it as our maverick. I really don't mind seeing someone elses car in a sig, just keep the pictures to a decent size.

    Jeremy,

"I found out that NOS was what people put on AFTER they built an engine, found it ran like crap, but wanted to go faster without a rebuild! :D "
 Did you find that out after you built YOUR engine?

no smiley, I can't tell if you are being a jerk, or playing around

if you notice, it's a quote. I've never used nitrous before. I thought it was kinda funny because of all the ricers, and even v8 people who don't know a damn about making a car go fast, usually mess it up more and try to cover it up with nitrous

time for a sig change anyhow.

    Ha, that's kind of funny.

what I meant to say is that he did not put one of those smiley things next to his sentence to convey his meaning (other than the roll your eyes smiley), so I was not sure if he was trying to be a jerk or not. No biggie.

Actually, I didn't even notice the roll the eyes one till now
