Hello in maverick land. couple silly questions. First, what trans do I have if I have a 70 with 2.8? It dosnt look like the pics iv seen. Want to get started gathering parts for a v8 conversion and that may be an important piece of knowledge. If I dont need one, I dont want to buy a new trans. Second, Im getting started on front disc very soon and I have access to a 74 mustang II set up minus the master cylinder, or i have 76 maverick set up complete. they both bolt rite on, dont they? Is one better than the other? They are both junkyard cars and will need the same TLC. Thanx.:hmmm::huh:

    Use the 76 discs.
It's what I'd do just to avoid all the work of getting the MII set up installed.

:Welcome: I live in Northeast Pennsylvania but I love LAS VEGAS

The Mustang II brake system will not bolt up to any Maverick :)

As PAINTANK noted - use the 1976 Maverick set up and all of the parts will bolt up to your 70 :thumbs2:

Is your trans an auto or a manual? I'm not an auto guy but the more info that you can post including photos will help get you your answer. (y)

My 70 (69.5) originally had an auto in it but it went to the scrap yard along with my original 200 engine. :)
