The 89 will take a 50 ounce imbalance. The 75 ,from a v8, is a 28 ounce. The starter may work but why not go to the later starter as that would be the hi torque one and is smaller in size. BTW You'll find its a flexplate for the c4 and a flywheel for a stick transmission.:)

assuming its an auto tranny you will need a 157 tooth 50 oz flexplate. You can't use the one from your 75 motor because its 28oz balance and will throw your engine out of balance

sure will. Just to be sure make sure your tranny is a case fill. You can id that because the dipstick will go into the case of the tranny and not the pan

If the dipstick goes into the aluminum tranny case it is a small bell c4 and carries a 157 tooth flexplate
If the dipstick goes into the tranny pan it is a large bell c4 and carries a 164 tooth flexplate.
All mavericks and comets came with small bell c4 trannys to the best of my knowledge. $600 for a 302 with twisted wedge heads was a great deal
