I am wondering who is considering making the 2011 calendar. It seems that the subject gets old but if we want a general "forums" calendar, it must be discussed.
I am willing to do it again unless there are others who can and will take it on. Should we vote? Whatever the case, I am nominating myself for the time being and hope we can decide who will be doing it by the end of January. It seems like a long time till the end of the year but it comes quick and there is alot to consider and plan. Rushing at the end sucks.

Getting it done earlier can somtimes get you a price break as well with some calender companies. They are really slow at the begining of the year. About mid year, they get the orders from the "OH CRAP I need to order calenders" customers and then go into overdrive to get them made. Paying overtime. Thus raising the prices.

I waited too long and didn't get a calendar this year.

So, where I used to have 2 mav calendars up, I now have an old check book register stapled to my wall with the entire year showing at one time...

The site still has them for sell, but January is almost up. I have a couple of extras. Send me a PM if your intrested.

Thanks for the support guys. I will be fair and wait till the end of the month to give others the opportunity to speak up if they have ideas or a better way to handle them. In the mean time, you guys who want to be in it need to have your camera ready at all times. When you get an opportunity to snap a good shot of your ride take it and save it to a jpg so when it's time you will have something to submit. Some of us know the routine but the new guys need the heads up. Sounds like i'm running it already lol.

I don't know about pro. I was given an opportunity and did what I could. Experienced at best.
I think your idea is awsome! I do like it (y)
If your considering, when you have time, please fill us in as to how you plan to sell them etc... If you been following the calendars the last few years, you can see that there have been several ways to accomplish sales and distribution etc. I did it the way I did it mostly for convienience and simplicity. No under/over purchasing, no mailing lists and stuff to keep track of, no waiting on payment from members and the list could go on.

That's up to the individule. I had an earlier date last year because of the time that was needed to get the three auctioned ones to the 11 different destinations across the States. If I had or wanted to have a regular completed by date, I am thinking November. This allows a little time for Christmas gift ideas with mailing time.
I just thought of something, and i'm just tossing this out there. What if someone wanted to order a past calendar? Would it be beneficial for them to be available from one location/member? I don't know that anyone would want one from the past, but in the future as our cars get older... I don't know, just thinking about the future.
