I have taken the rear springs apart and am having them blasted. I am going to repaint them and then reassemble. I had to cut off the band clamp that each spring had.

I assume they need to be replaced? Where can I buy them?

There isn't a spring shop around here to take them to.

Thanks, that would be cool of you. I don't know of any spring shop around here. Autocrafters lists them, but theres is for a 4 leaf spring. I have the 3 leaf set up.

Two places I know of in Conn. are Spring Replacement in Bridgeport, or Superior Spring in North Haven. I don't know if that is any help to you.

When assembling the spring stack don't forget to use some muslin and grease between the leafs. That keeps them from squeaking and makes them work smoother.
I am not sure you will find it in any books but it is a trick that an old timer taught me long before I became an old timer myself..

National Parts Depot sells them, for Mustangs, they can't be that much different.

Interesting read... thanks! I did come up with a set of clamps. Springs&Things (Espo) has them. They are on their way to me now.

Oh, they changed up their webpage! How do you find them on there? Can you state the part number and price?

    Thanks!

No wonder I couldn't find them, that's Eaton, not ESPO. :hmmm: Good find though, thanks! But...I think our springs are 2 1/2", not 2" (32KK9)?

Sorry about that. I was looking for parts for my Falcon. 2.5" clip is $3.95 each also...rubber is $1.75 each
