Not trying to hi jack a thread here... but why not sand it? And what does just buffing do for it anyways? If there is enough coats of paint the only thing to do is cut and buff to make it look perfect.

The car looks awesome, can't wait to see pics of it coming together.

I do have some orange peel, and from what everyone has told me, if it's layed on thick enough, cutting and buffing single stage is no biggie. I haven't crossed that road yet.

Ive just seen alot of single stage paint jobs ruined by cutting, If your really careful and have alot of paint to deal with and know what your doing i.e very fine paper, staying only on the flat surfaces and only on the problem areas you can go for it..Just be prepared for a repaint in the near future as single stage paint tends to die out alot faster after being cut...(Just buffing single stage will get rid of overspray and small inperfections its better then doing nothing if you have inperfections..

You can get rid of the drip spots easily enough by blading them and yes there is a technique to it..If your going to persue with cutting i recommend starting in the jamb so you can see how it turns out and if you wreck it no harm..If your gonna tackle the car find out how much paint they put on it, most shops only use 2 coats unless otherwise stated and thats not good if your gonna try and cut it..
