We drove to Dulles, Virginia for the first Roundup there. We went to the Gathering in Elizabethtown, Ky., then on to Virginia. BTW, my brother lives in Va. Beach. He moved there from Chesapeake. My mom lived there before she passed on also. I also went to the Fun Ford Weekend in Va. Motorsports Park. Once you go to these you'll be hooked on going each year. My Granddaughters ask every year if we're going again next year. Bring the family. :)

If you bring the wife to the Gathering she'll have plenty to do. We go out to dinner, swim at the pool, have a BBQ and car show held at a park with games for the kids. There are cruises to a number of family and educational places. Last year we went to the George Washington Carver museum. The kids had a class on making milk out of peanuts. We also went to Big Brutus. We also went to the Joplin mining museum and a cruise to Route 66 in Galena, Kansas. Also there was a cruise to Darryl Starbirds Rod and Custom Museum. There's also a number of other things in the area. It's a great time and family fun. :)

I just called the motel in Hannibal. They refused to lower the rates for Tuesday night so I told them we'd be checking in on Wednesday instead of Tuesday. We'll spend the extra day in Joplin and save about $40. I know I'm cheap.:)

My first act this year was to sit in the back seat of the Comet with a 24 and not leave till i finish it. Burp,........:beerchug::drink::wine::vomito:

My second act will be to attend the 2ND Annual Mav-Com Breakfast today in Oakville, of course i'll be staggering into Denny's after last nights drinking binge. I figure i can do at least 5 burgers before i pass out. swap_15_maverick_burgers_copy_original.jpg

cjtorinoman, Wish I knew that before as I was back in Chesapeake a number of times before my Mom passed away. My brother lives in Va. Beach.
JesTer, Even if your car isn't finished bring it as it is. Lots of fun. :)
