    If u have the 5 1\8 diameter base carb it shud work. I don't think the I6 has the large base carbs. I wud hesitate to order that one. I think u better taking the advice of some earlier threads and take a measurement and go to NAPA , Autozone, swapmeet or whatever an get the correct unit. :idea:

    This is Maverick number 4, 1973 LDO coupe with 302 and C4, factory A/C.
    Welcome to the board. New here myself.

    There is not a lot of hood cleareance above that Carter RBS on the 250. Thats why Ford couldnt put on the Carter YF like the 200's had. YF is a better carb. Your best bet is a stock air cleaner from a salvage yard. or eBay. It will fit properly, and give you time to research and decide what you want to do next, while being able to drive it meanwhile.

    Hello everybody

    Just joined your forum. I'm going to up date my profile with picks here in a few min. I have 2 70 maverick grabbers, grabber blue(all original except 347 stroker and five lug disc up grade) my grandmother bought it brand new, and a yellow all original 70 grabber that I just bought on ebay 2 days ago. Whating for them to pick it up tomorrow and bring it to florida. Thanks everybody, Roger.

    That explains it all! Im really happy i joined up here! I've gotten some great links for parts! Anyone have tips on the best v8's to drop in a 74?:D
