A couple of questions.

    The car looks pretty solid from the few pics you have posted in this last frame. Cars out west sure do seem to live far longer because it is so dry and no road salting.

    You want to make sure that the cowl vents (slats between the windshield and hood) don't leak into the interior. This is a common problem with Mustangs and our cars, and a tough fix. If that area is solid, they will drain from behind the front fenders. Pour a couple of quarts of water into there and see if any drips into the interior. If it does, you will want to check the floorpans.

    Rust in the doors is frequently because the window seal is bad, letting water in to pool inside at the bottom. Not too hard to fix if minor.

    Thanks everyone for your help. I'm going to keep looking. I just have a funny feeling that if I bought it I would regret it, and those feelings usually seem to be right. Anyway I am going to delete my pics from this thread so I can post a couple more on another car I found.
