which msd box will suit my motor the best?
because theres a few of them to choose from
and also would this be a better choice vs stock for my disturb?

that cap kit will work. the msd 6 series ignitions will work just fine. the 6a is just the standard msd. the 6al has a revlimiter in it. the 6btm has a boost referenced timeing retard in it. you should be fine with the 6a or 6al.

The 85 Stang unit has the smaller diameter gear. The TFI dizzy's all had the larger gear.

You will also need to plug the dipstick hole in the 89's block. And use the harmonic balancer to center the timing cover to make certain the front seal, seals. The 89 cover has alignment dowels to do this, they're not present on the 75's timing cover.

all roller cam equipped mustangs be it duraspark or later models..if it came with a steel gear it has a .531 shaft. i ordered literally 15 different year gears to make sure i had all my bases covered and every singl gear is identical. still had to order the 65 dollar msd gear from summit.

can someone send me a link to the best fitting headers for a comet/maverick?
and also do people switch the kickdown to a cable or anything of that sort?
and How to connect your maverick/comet to a 4 bbl carb like what parts will i need and also, What do i need to setup a 89 H.o With the clockwise water pump?
or what do people do thats the easyest this is becoming a nightmare im only 17 i need to sort things out but basicly it has no starter/ plug wires/headers/carb/ pulleys/fuel pump/ i need something to block off the smog stuff on my twisted wedge heads (Important!!) and what i need after buying the 6al to my 89 , it has the older disturb ( came out of an older model 5.0 roller ) i need 2 know what wires or special kits that are out there to make this the easyiest
install, or what will i need even if its hard or not,
so help me out guys thanks alot

also was thinking of putting a eletric water pump
how would i do this with a belt setup either surpertiene or w.e

hooker 6901 fit nicely. you can find them on summit or jegs.
lokar makes a kickdown cable conversion for the c4.
you need a 4bbl carb, a 4bbl intake, some gaskets, some carb studs, some vacuum line and caps.
to goto a standard rotation water pump you need the front timeing chain cover. as for whats easyest, that is hard to say. easyest is to use the parts you have. if your replacing a 302 that is allready in the car then you have all the parts you will need. the oil pan has to be a front sump and requires a front sump oil pick up.
the timeing chain cover needs to be correct for the accessories that you are useing. if you useing the stock maverick stuff you want to use the 70s timing chain cover. if your useing the newer serptine belt stuff then you want to use the cover from the 89 motor. the 89 cover doesnt have a place to mount the mechanical fuel pump so that will require you to install an eletric fuel pump.
to block off the air injection holes on the heads there are these threaded sleves that you can get from the ford dealer that will plug them off. they have a threaded center so you can use that space for mounting bolts.
the msd is very easy to wire up to the 85 manual trans distrubtor. the instructions are very clear on how to do this. you will use the magnetic pick up instructions for duraspark distributers in the msd instructions.
i used an eletric water pump on my car. i only have an alternator, no othere accessories. i used the march alt bracket kit that uses two hiem joints and a threaded rod to adjust belt tention. i used a stock mustang serpitine pully for the crank and the alt.
for the starter you can just use a stock one. you can up grade it by useing one for a 94 5.0 mustang. they are lighter, smaller and stronger. they just cost a little more.

im useing the mizier eletric water pump on mine.
you only want to use the reverse rotation water pump if your are useing serpintine belt from the 89 motor. if your using v-belts you want the standard rotation pump. the timeing covers are different for these pumps also. so make sure you are using the correct cover.

If your 75 has Duraspark, the 85 Mustang distributor will plug right in.
