To me it just seems like a normal metal rod that you can just drop in and align or is there more to it?
use plenty of assembly lube, and NEW lifters!might as well replace the chain and gears since your there.just line up the marks per instructions.
Installing a cam is easey, setting it up properly takes some finesse.Do some reading/research before you tear into one.Its not rocket science, just need to be carfull and pay close attention when setting it all up. Good luck!!!
will having to use assembly lube apply to a Six banger? Cause I've seen camshaft installations for v8s and they seem to say you need it specifically for those engines but I wouldn't know about the sixes though.
ya its very easy it took me like 30 mins and because i had to run to the stor first. clean it off first to make shure no dirt on it then lube it up slip it in
I'm not saying my six needs one. But when I take off the head for a rebuild and 2bbl conversion, may as well put a better cam in there for better breathing. But of course, I'm still pondering about it.
I agree, while you are doing that mod, might as well put a cam in to make you happy. It is not rocket science, and a chiltons, or motors manual can give you enough info to get you thru it. Good luck.
shouldn't you put new bearings in it to or you don't have to ?? and to put new bearings in you have to pull the motor ??
