I'm staying at the new Motel 6,1450 Harrisburg Pike I-81 Exit #52 never again will I stay at that Holiday Inn, they found it necessary to bill me another $50, since they had to come to my room because of noise, I explained to them that it wasn't my room, no one came to our room, and they refused to talk to me about it...
Can't wait,The wife and I took the whole week off also. Working like mad to get the comet ready to go. If not i have back up 1969 F250 360 4-speed w/granny gear dana 60 4.11's factory a/c, ps, m/disc, and dealer installed left & right saddle tanks. 70 gal. of gas don't think I'll have to refuel for round trip. Game plan would be to pull the comet down with the F250.
I'll be coming down on Thursday and leaving Sunday - just booked my room I live 113 miles north of Carlisle and have never been there for any of the shows. I've always wanted to do one of the weekends so this year is it. I'm really looking forward to June now.
I don't think we'll be going this year. We can only make it for one day and at $40.00 to get on the field plus the cost of gas ( whatever that will be by June) and pocket money it's just become too expensive for us anymore. It would be great if the powers that be at Carlisle could adjust thier entery fees on how many days you plan to attend. The $40.00 entery fee covers three days, which is great if you plan to be there for 3 days. But for people like us who can't make it out there for three days it's just too much. So I guess we'll have to skip Carlisle and go to a local show instead.
Jean, it's only $10 per person per day, and $30 for the 4 day pass. http://www.carsatcarlisle.com/ce/events/ford-nationals/
That's just the pass to go to the show without your car. If you want to bring your car and put it on the show field it's $40.00. I really would want to bring my car with me if I were to go. I could also go without the car, but that would mean parking God knows where and it's getting too hard for my husband to walk long distances anymore.
