press fit pistons question

I am buying a set of flattop pistons for a 351w. I plan to use the stock rods from a 78 351w I believe. The pistons say press fit. I was wondering if they would work with my rods. Here is a link to the pistons

i had an ad up for a new set of pistons and rings for s STD bore 351w, if interested

 

what is the difference between a 302 and 351w piston. I know they were both 4.000 bore stock

I guess I will get this engine kit. My block is stock bore and the mains and rods are turned .010. Guess I will save a little more lol

Before i bought ANY pistons, I would figure my compression height. Then get the pistons that match what you have. All pistons ARE NOT created equal. Nothing like getting some off the shelf pistons and they be .040 in the hole after you install. This link may help if you don't know how. Its really not as hard to find as it sounds. Besides wouldn't knowing your deck height be good to know?
