i have 89 302 H.O Twisted fordge heads, a motorcraft holley and performer intake, and possible a very huge cam, bought the motor from craigslist just wondering what GPH fuel pump i should buy?
and if anyone has links to a Good cheap kit that will work for this motor please leave me links ;] thanks guys
im useing this pump on my motor. http://www.jegs.com/i/Edelbrock/350/1791/10002/-1?parentProductId=752943 it has an internal pressure regulator that is adjustable. its pretty quiet. not as quiet as a mallory but alot more quiet than a holey blue.
will that work good for what my motor is? im kinda looking not to spend so much on a fuel pump do i need a regulator? and how do i wire one of those bad boys up? thanks
a stock mechanical fuel pump will work just fine for that motor. i missunderstood your original question.
you can't use a mechanical fuel pump on a 89 motor they don't have the hole on the block for it so he will need a electric fuel pump http://www.summitracing.com/search/...ype/Fuel-Pumps-Electric-External/?Ns=Rank|Asc
is that..."hole on the block"...for just an '89 motor? my '93 roller motor has a mechanical fuel pump...mounted on the timming cover...
All thats needed is to swap over to the older style timing cover, and the use of a fuel pump eccentric.(either a 1 pc.or 2 pc.)
I've already swapped the timming covers my motor has a double roller timing chain and will not work with my Mechanical fuel pump essential , so i was just wondering whats the cheapest electric fuel pump i can use And What do i plug my dipstick on the block from the old style oil pan, i put the front sump, front oil pickup tube and 1975 mercury comet timing cover on the motor,
