'71 302, running when pulled a couple yrs ago. complete from carb to pan, and it has a: D1ZM-6015-AA part number also scored a set of early 351w heads. were redone about the time the 302 was removed. screw in studs and guide plates installed, new valves, spring and retainers. (notice the factory part number on the guide plates)
Sweet does the M in the code indicate that? by just looking at it... it does look like one...i can see the boss by the oil sender. did mexican blocks ever come in stangs? i've heard they came in trucks and granadas.
I think its a combo of the "zm" that indicates it's a mexican block. I just go by the whole part number. And yeah, the boss in the front of the block is a dead giveaway the mexican blocks came in alot of different vehicle lines, even mavericks. I had one this past summer from a '71 comet gt
cool thanks! i never even looked at other models block to see if they were messican....i just looked at the G'nadas and Trucks when i was JY hunting..
Yup, start checking out all of them. A friend of mine even got one in a mustang ii so that goes to show u that u can find them in anything lol
Btw, for those who dont know.... Those are factory 351w 69-70 only car manifolds. I dont know how they ended up on this engine but its a nice surprise
last time i found a mII it had a locker in it......i found the tag on the ground. but the third member was long gone i got so much free time right now...im going to go to the member's gallery and look at people's blocks i bet a few might have one.
