The 331 is gonna finally be put together soon. It will have 8.7:1 compression and I'm gonna run it without nitrous initially. It will have either my 600 edelbrock or bryant's holley. AFR 185cc heads and it's a 95 roller block. Probe cam .542/.563 224/232 (112)

^I'd say less than that to the ground with such low compression

i think corn man is talking about 400 on the engine, that's pretty good. So maybe 300 at the wheels? that's still pretty good. I figure I can get another 100 with the supercharger. And of course there is always nitrous . ..

What kind of supercharger are you going to run?

174 weiand, it's the roots style. the only other roots one out there is the 671 which is gonna stick through the hood.

if i could hide the 6-71 i'd pay the extra money for it. the 174 is probably around $3K and the 6-71 probably around $4K. Man I've been saving forever for it . . .

Yes sir,i'd say 400 at the flywheel is a very realistic number if its built and tuned correctly. 331's usually make good power and those heads are really good power makers. Good luck sir.

    How much boost?

7 psi will give you close to a 50% increase (gotta subtract some for the blower drive parasitic loss, etc). That 331 should easily get 350 at the flywheel, so another 50% would be up around 500 hp.

initially I had -4cc pistons which would have made 10.7:1 compression. but since i wanted to build an engine for a supercharger i decided to change to different pistons, with 8.7:1 I am going to use a 9 psi pulley. that is probably the most I can get out of that little supercharge without causing too much heat.

A house is better than a boob job. If you get a devorce at least you can get 1/2 the money from the house back. No such luck on the boobs.

My first wife and I devorced, 6 months after she got hers, and no they weren't my idea
