What headers fit a 71 Comet with 302, C4 with column shift and power steering?
I know this was talked about before but I couldn't find it.
Full length would be the first choice, but if no one makes any, then I'll go down from there.
I'm looking for bolt in and go headers if available. I know I will probably have to drop the power steering bracket down. That is no problem as a bolt in bracket can be found...

Does anyone have any headers for sale ???

    Thanks.

    Have you tried them?

Have you tried them? Do they actually fit?
I remember awhile back something about a column shift linkage getting in the way. No, this car will not be converted to a floor shifter. The customer wants the column shift as it is.

I only want to buy ONE set of headers and want it to be the set that works with a C4 and colume shift with Power steering.
If you personally bought the Summit headers and they fit with a column shift then that is Great ! My search would be over. Did you install these with a column shift linkage?

PS Here is the Summit info provided: Says No for column shift ...

Oh I didn't realize that you can't change from column shift sorry. I seem to recall that maybe doug thorleys shorties were made, but I don't recall if they fit or not.

Doug Thorley's work, but most people don't want to spend the kinda money they sell for. I have them, and they are awesome.

My car has Ford Motorsport full length headers. They were on the car when I bought it. It does have power steering. I was told the headers were very difficult to install but they look excellent. Sorry I don't have a part number.

I let the customer decide if he wants the $159 shorties or the $595 shorties ...

    Cheers.

Good news. Good bye column shift. Hello floor shifter

Well tonight the deicision was made to go with a cable type floor shifter.
Now, I need to know what full length headers do not interfer with the left turn radius/pitman arm deal.
Also, where do I get a different sleeve for the steering column without the PRNDL and shift lever?

    Thanks for the responses.

Wasn't there a set of Hooker headers that fit? I can't remember the model number though...
