I bought clips from AutoKrafter supposedly for Mavericks but they are not the same as the originals. What A/K sold me is on the left and originals are on the right. I stupidly tossed my clips so don't have all the originals. These replacements to not fit properly ....

I have taken apart MavComs with both styles of clips. I like the ones on the right better myself. I think AMK sells those clips.

I have those same clips (ones on the left) on my '72 the only problem I had with them was they seemed to fit a little loose. I took a pair of needle nose pliers and squeezed the little slot so they would fit tighter on the little post. There was also some of the other style clips on it as well (ones on the right). They both seem to work for me. Not sure what the problem is you are having. I picked up the couple that I was missing from a glass shop here in town. I took the old ones with me. Most of the Fords back in the 70's used those style clips (if I'm not mistaken) and you should be able to find them in a salvage yard. Hope some of this helps.

The clips on the left are alot harder to push on and seem to dig into the paint where the originals on the right slide on and clip nicely. I found a place that sells them and am gonna call on a price. They list them for 1969 Maverick's but obviously were on my 71 as well. What is AMK?

My buddy works at Speedy Auto Glass and had some in stock that worked just fine. They weren't exactly the same as the originals, but worked great.

I was playing around with them and they are probably workable ... but the other style that positively locks on the stud is much nicer ... Gonna try to order some tomorrow. Car-Pak Makes them ... Part # 70-3366

Dan my local NAPA store had some...I had to take the clips in and browse a catalog that had real clips in them and match em up...I never would have thought there could be so many different clips.

Dan; there is a glass place in Stockbridge, Metro Trim and Glass, and they have the clips in stock. That is where I got mine. Sorry I did not see this thread before. They are about $0.45 cents a piece there, a little high, but they are available. They are in the book, so call them first. How close are you to Stockbridge? I can pick some up for you if you like. Let me know,
