Well here is my point of view.I dont know whether your paying somebody else to do some parts or not.

    Carpet-$150
    Seats Reupholster-$500-$1000
    Headliner-$200-$600
    Paint etc-$50-$200

All depends on how far shot the interior is, if some things like the visors or kick panels or door panels need replaced or died whatever. But my rough estimate is $1500. But i would say you could get it done for way cheper or way more depending on your skills and area.

Seat covers aren't readily available for cheap, but honestly you should call around locally for an upholstery shop, I was quoted $450 to have my seats repadded and recovered. Headliner is easier and you can do it yourself, you can find it for under $100 if you shop around, same with carpet, although carpet is often around $150 for the nice stuff. I bought my 71 for $750 and the only intact interior is the door panels and miscellaneous plastic panels. I covered my seats with a blue-green navajo blanket, which actually matches the car perfectly.:thumbs2: If the car is sound, I say go for it and restore the interior later, after brakes, tires, tuning, etc.

I will take a really bad interior over a really bad, rusty exterior ANY DAY!! :D

In my opinion I'd take a perfectly running, looks-like-crap car over any car that has a decent exterior but no motor/tranny or one that's in terrible shape. Either way works though, it just depends on where you want to sink your money.

I had my bucket seats, backseat, headliner installed, new carpet, and rear package tray done. I removed all the old stuff, supplied the headlliner and carpet. The lady charged me $1,000 . She had to replace all the foam in the bucket seats also. I was pleased with her work.

1000 just for seats? go somewhere else... unless you have some real nice custom design you are asking them for.

I am redoing the interior on my 1970 grabber. Looks like redoing my original seats might cost about $1200 (new springs, upholstery, etc. Junk yard seats can be had for a couple hundred, but i want to stay with the original. Total carpet replacement is only about $180. Unless there are big holes in the floor panels, it is not costly to fill a few pin holes and rustproof. Most interior parts can be painted easily. Door panel incerts can be hard to find from junk yard if those are not usable. Most small items show up on ebay.

Door panels are easy to make for a Maverick. Just find the material you like, and get some 1/8" hardboard from Home Depot (about $5), and cut out the board and holes, glue on the foam and material and put the designs in yours that you like. Then, you have something no one else has. Good luck!

Just depends on what you want. I paid 1200$ for two buckets and rear seats in leather.
