No, they won't work with a 351W. There is not enough room from the heads to the sides of the engine compartment unless you do away with the shock towers completely. That would require the installation of a complete front suspension from an aftermarket supplier.

Probably not.Might as well stick with the stock manifolds.

What is the specs on the engine? If it's stock,i would just run the stock manifolds. But if the engine has any kind of mod's done to it,...by using the stock manifolds...you will defeat/lose any performance you were going to get.The stocks will just choke it out.

How come someone has not come out with an after market header with all this talk of clearance issues, you would think someone could make a killing if they could design one for the 302.

The Hooker 6901 headers fit excellent on a 302 based mav/comet.Someone is making a killing...Thats why they are so expensive for a 351 swap.

You might try Hedman's 351W swap headers for the 65-66 Mustangs. They're shorty's though, but will be better than manifolds.

I just checked the price on hooker part# 6901. $279 and change. and then you can't be sure you have clearance for plug change.

Headres meant for a 302 will NOT work on a 351 (351 is taller) Hence 302 headers hang up on the floorpan as well as other components. Fox/sn 95 stang headers wont work either not enough room between the towers for them. Crites makes a swap header for the 351 in a Mav as well as Doug Thorely. If you do a 351 in a Mav this is the price you pay for it...Sorry...You could allways fab a set if you can weld. Good luck!!!

302 Maverick/Comet exhaust manifolds will fit but...You are going to have to grind the ribs off the driverside one to clear the tower. As I stated before..." Fox mustang/SN95 headers (shorties or long tube) will not work in a mav. As for the cast iron manifolds...Good question.
