I think the only way you'd be able on lay a glass hood with the scoops is with the openings completely closed off like the hood Auto Krafters lists.

That is by far one of the sweetest hoods I've seen for these cars, wish I had the money for one.

I'd take one, if I don't have to give my first born son to get it...LOL
Any idea on cost, Jimmy? I'm not rich by any means, but would like to have one...

    Fibreglass Grabber cowl hood

Ok folks after getting some good sound advice via PM from a respected senior member and also putting some thought into this project myself over the last two weeks .I have decided that i will go ahead and put out all my own money for the manufacturing of the mold and to have the fibreglass Grabber Cowl hoods made.I will do some number crunching in the next two weeks while my original hoods paint cures and see if i can cut the price down to less than the 550.00 i was originally qouted .I am also willing to send cjtorinoman of this forum one of the first out of the mold to do a test fit and inspection on his car and he can give his opionion of the quality.I will be sending it to cjtorionman first as he did say he wanted one and would pay for it up front ,he can be the judge of the quality,if he likes it ,he will buy it.I do ask that if there are others that would be interested in one please let me know so i have a idea of how many i will need to make ,this will possible bring down the price. sincerly Jimmy Beaulieu:thumbs2:P.S here are a few more pics with the final stripping put on ,sorry about the color it was taken at sunset ,thus the orange tint to the paint color

Hey thanks to you Jimmy !!!!!!! I would honor the chance to test the hood and give you a fair unbiased opinion base on my restoration business of 25 years experience. I have bought to date 8 hoods and several fenders from Charlie at Crites Restorations and every single hood was truck freighted for less than 100.00 dollars and extremely well packaged included thanks Brian Murphy @ Murphy's Automotive Restoration 1319 Lindale Dr Chesapeake VA 23320 shop number 757-549-6665 have plenty of reference pictures and customer testimonials available thanks Brian.:yup:
