Hey Guys I am new to your site and in need of some help. I have a 73 Mav with 4 lug disc and want to change it with a 77 5 lug disc. Can this be done what does it do to may steering geometry and does it change the caliber location?

How did you end up with 4 lug disc on a '73? All '73s had 5-lug drums from the factory.

All I have is the front clip, I was told it was a 73. What was the first year for 4lug disc. If I do the change with a 77 the caliber ends up in front, thats not right is it? I am wanting to put this clip under a 37 studebaker.

There was never a 4 lug disc for a maverick. Maybe a mustang 2 or pinto. Check the bolt pattern.

I called some ads for brakes and the only 4-lug disc kit is for a early Mustang. It's a SSB kit and it won't fit a Maverick. I've talked to a lot of people about this and the main reason disc are better is that they don't fade like drums, but a well set up drums stop pretty good. IMHO Now I wish I had disc, they look good thru your wheels and if you do need to change pads it's easy. In my case it would be alot of money and time to change, new wheels & tires, finding parts, changing MC.
