Just installed a petronics ignition everything is new but the plug wires and it will not fire . Is this my problem or do I look elsewhere? Car was running when I took it apart and it`s been a few months since I got her back together. Thanks for any imput.

Obvious stuff first. Check the pertronix instructions and make sure you have it wired up correctly. Make sure the 2 wires are going to the correct places. Correct "gap" at the pickup. etc.

Are you getting any spark at all?

i really doubt that the plug wires are the problem. scooper is right. also use volt meter or test light to make sure that you are geting power to the pertronix.

first things first: did you remove the distributor to install the pertronics unit? Did you get it back in correctly?
