Hey everybody. I am a new maverick owner sort of. I just recently got my very own 1975. My husband is BigSmo92. I fell in love with his maverick so got my own. We got the first one for our (then 16 yr old) son. He loved it until our youngest (one yr 3 days younger) was getting a truck. Then he decided he wanted a truck too. We had the Maverick up for sale a week and decided we could not part with it. So Daddy Smo (Mike Jr.(Smo) as opposed to Mike III aka Big Smo) traded his 2004 Dodge 1500 quad cab 4wd for it. We got the better end of that deal! I had been wanting one since we got the first. Lots of fun to drive. We both love our Mavericks and the boys borrow them on occasion. What great cars! I am so looking forward to fixing my car up to look like when she was new. She is a diamond in the rough right now but looks great for her age! It will take a while since we are working on two of them and working on a 1906 house but well worth the time and money.
I can't post yet but if you go to BigSmo92 profile there are a couple of pictures of Mike's car and one of mine. I am a big picture taker so there will be plenty taken. I have an entire disk of pics from all the work done on his motor rebuild but misplaced the darn disk! People sometimes think I go nuts on picture taking.

You should bring those cars to the Maverick Comet Club International's 17th Annual Roundup Nationals. It will be just across the Mississippi River from Illinois in Hannibal, Missouri. Find out more info at: www.MaverickCometClub.org
Round up We plan to go this year. We wanted to go last year but it did not work our for us. It would be great to bring both of them. If Mike gets the overheating problem fixed on his we could do it. He is working on it.
Welcome to the board. Hope to see you in Hannibal. Come over even if you don't get the Mavericks finished.
