    call your project "double take"

Build it up as your photo shows, everyone will walk by it at car shows and then come closer as they see a Ford badge -you'll hear em say "what the.....

    Dare to be different!

Besides, this is the way car building is starting to be dictated due to builder lifestyle. Most of us are hobbyists at heart. We all work a 40 hr week, have families and have other things to buy like food and a mortgage instead of that all aluminum 302 or a custom one off billet piece. Leave that stuff to the high end builders and purists who buy cars at Barrett Jackhole. By the way..any amc can look cool with imagination and some tweaking. Yes...its a Matador.

Funny, AMX was my first thought as well. I always liked them.

Sad to say I think if AMC would have kept building cars like the AMX and the Javelin like they did in the late 60's early 70's I think they would be still around today.

Reminds me of what a friend of mine did with his 72 Mustang coupe. He gave it fastback "sails" but left the coupe window and trunk lid as it was, that way, unlike the factory fastbacks, you could actually see out your back window in your rear view mirror.

I don't have any pics of it, but I p-shopped these to give you an idea.....it was pretty cool

Did any of you see the AMC April fools Joke 1, 2, or maybe 3 years ago in Hot Rod or Hotrodding magazine, I have it stashed somewhere. It was really cool it had artist depictions of what their lineup might look like today, I would have brought a Gremlin they were all the coolest looking cars I've seen in years.
