Unless they are really car nuts, I can understand why they wouldn't know what a car that was built 20 or so years before they were born was. I don't know every car that was built in 1939, twenty years before I was born, but do know some of the more popular ones like a 39 Ford Deluxe or 39 Ford Standard. Not many 20 year old cars around at anytime. If I had a guess, I'd say there are probably more 20 year old pickups left running around than anything else

Once when I had just pulled in and was about to order my food at Sonic, a group of teenagers came running from around the other side of the restaurant, piled up in from of my car and asked if they could check out my "Torino." Took a few pictures and left before I could tell 'em any different.

I was actually in the hunt to buy a 67 Coronet when I ended up finding and buying my Maverick. The two cars could not be more opposite but I like them both. I guess I just like cars.
