My beloved Comet decided not to start after work a couple months ago. I swapped in the wifes battery and got it home and there it has sat since. So...an update: Wire shelving grille removed. Turn signals removed. Small bumper installed. EGR spacer removed(original FUBARed) Cranks but doesnt start. Drains the battery attempting to start. Still looks awesome and makes me tingly in that special place when I see it. Thats about it.
When you removed the EGR spacer did you plug the EGR port in the intake? If not the that may be part of your problem - exhaust gases getting into the intake will keep it from starting. You can use a drill and pipe tap and then plug it with a flush fitting pipe plug.
PAINTANK, good to have you back! If you want it, I may be able to get you an EGR plate for nearly nothing. I think there's still one on the '74 Grabber I've been plundering at the junk yard.
could it be the alternator? maybe it's running off the battery the entire time. You have a voltmeter you could hook up?
are you geting any spark if so spray some starter fluid in the carb are you still using points in your distributor
If you want, ill offer the brand new egr valve and plate for free, just pay shipping. Hate to hear the comets going to waist.
An inoperable Comet!? Not on my watch! Hows your dizzy cap? Maverick fired right up after I changed it.
the =,- anode on the flux capacitor is grounding against the titanic shroud distribution center. a little bondo or duct tape will insulate it. Good luck
But don't you need to remodulate the spatial resonance pulse width after even touching the flux capacitor?
Actually, if you modify the main deflector shield to emit an inverse tachyon pulse, you should be able to create a static warp shell which would collapse the anomaly.
