i am installing my C4 this morning (#10). i think i got it this time... i told Earl i might do a test run up your way. you guys have a "large time"... ......
Well, we ended up getting a little rain first thing in the morning, but it cleared up and the day turned out great! I had a blast, there were so many cars there it was just ridiculous, including the Spectre Maverick with the Toyota engine in it. The cruise in after the show was neat as well. Highlight of the day for me was definitely riding in that yeller turbo Maverick Mr. Joe Dirt has put together. I can assure you, that car gets on down the road!!! I've got a few crappy cell phone pics, will get them up soon.
For what I was there for was a blast! Came late and had to leave early as well... First power tour, or show of any kind for that matter with my comet! Had a good time with some great lookin mav's. **Have to say some of the most fun was the cruise from the tour to the cruise in!!
Yea, it was fun enough. All I know, is that red Corvette sure decided real quick that he didn't want any after Russ kicked in it once. Wish I could have got a pic of the disgusted look he gave us. Here are the pics I took. I'm linking them off Facebook, hopefully everyone can see them. Russ' car: Earl's car: This Orange Maverick was a '69.5 I found way over on the other side of the show from where we all parked. Never did find out who it belonged to. Looked to have a functional shaker scoop. Was pretty neat to see this car in person. It's not really as nicely done as it looks in pics, but a cool car overall. My beater: Here's some non Mavericks that caught my eye: The family truckster! It had a 5.3 Vortec chevy in it. This old F100 had a Viper V10 in it!
I too had a blast yesterday! I wish I could have made the cruise to Birmingham, but it is a good thing I did not. The electric fans quit on me...again, and I couldn't get far before it overheated. Jamie left me in Dalton, which was ok, he had to be at work today. After working in the rain for a while, I gave up, got a hotel room and decided to tackle it in the morning. This morning, I found an O'Reilly and parked there to do the work. Found the problem real quick...bad ground on the fan harness. I got that put together, bought some extra fuses just in case, and took it home without a problem. Shows to go, sometimes the problems are real simple, and easy to find if you work with a clear head. Thanks again, everybody for a great day. Met some new folks, saw a lot of great cars and hopefully, do it again.
