Jimmy is a great guy in my opinion and has done 10x more for the maverick community then the people that sit and talk bad about him... He has restored beautiful mavericks to show off and worked on a few reproduction parts, he even started a maverick club.. Really, its sad that he is gone..

Regardless of what anyone thinks of the hood...I'm buying one when they're available. For those of you who don't like the looks of it...I could really care less. I haven't built my car because I hope you like it...I have built it, and continue to build it to suit my tastes! It will never be complete...it will continue to evolve with me and my moods...it amazes me daily how many of you guys post endlessly on here with your opinions on what's hot, or looks cool...like you're an authority, and the world is just sitting around waiting for your next comment for clarification. Get over yourselves! Especially if you can't afford one of the hoods in the first place! You don't like the looks of the hood...design one yourself...make the connections, and have it produced. Start a thread on here showing your design, and maybe I'll like it and buy one of yours too lmao...until then...how about a reality check please.

Anywho. If he gets into making the Comet GT hoods, I'll consider buying one of those.

My dad has been teasing me by placing a rediculous hood scoop on my car. The thing is MASSIVE.

No thanks dad, I like subtle awesome, not in your face awesome.

Ok folks let's just agree to disagree. Not everyones taste is the same, hence the variety of life styles, occupations, wine, beer or Jack Daniels!
Some people think that this hood is the "fat cat" and some of us do not care for it but that is our right to be independant in taste. Some of us will design our own likes in hoods and other parts but upon doing so will not expect everyone else is going to get wet over them. So in short, let's not get so agressive over each others posted opinions and just do your own thing and by all means build your car for you and I will build mine for me:Handshake. Thanks

Nope, But overall where does it end? and when? everyone keeps going on and on...If the said person didn't step out of line in the first place, we wouldn't be having this discussion. It's plain and simple.
If everyone else can have an out pouring of their feelings, why can't I?? It's been off topic all day, and should have been locked long ago.

    Guys,

I don't know about you, but I have a vehicle to work on.
