i have a Holley 80457-3 and it say 2793 below it and i am doing a inline 6 to v8 conversion and i was wondering if this will work on my 302 and if so what parts exactly do i need like kick down do i need a new throttle upon other things.
My book says it is a 4160 style 600 cfm carb. So it is a basic vacuum secondary 600 Holley. As to if it'll work on your 302 yes and no. This is my opinion only and will have many say I am wrong. If your engine is stock or very mild I think the carb will be a bit too large. You can make it run good with tuning but it will never run as crisp and with as much performance and economy as say a 450 cfm or I think there is a 375 cfm the 300 sixers like to use. IF you have better flowing heads, cam and headers a 600 would work great. Just my view point clint
well i am not flooding with money and my engine has a mild cam and has been bored .60 over so what do you think of that? and i was wondering if you could give me the link to what kind of carb it is on the holly website so i can get the right kind of kick down and rebuild kits for it?
