80457 is a std Ford 600 cfm Holley. You do not need the kickdown hooked up for the transmission to work. Can't tell you what you need as pertains to the throttle

You need the kick down to work unless you plan to shift manually or if you want "passing gear" to work. All you need is the rod from the carb throttle kick-down linkage to the kick-down lever on the transmission. It may need to be adjusted to less than .060" clearance with wide open throttle and the kick-down lever at the transmission fully depressed.

You might try a carb shop in your area first. Sometimes they will pull carbs at the bone yard to rebuild just to have on hand and they will have extra's. Worth a try.

that is a correct carb for a auto. that lever just inside of the throttle lever is where the rod connects to that goes to the trans. its missing its adjustment screw. that what goes in that hole in the lever. i dont have a pic of it.

Where'd you find 10 downshift linkage rods for 302 - 4 bbl motors ? The 2 bbl linkage rods are too long.
