Looking at the pics again just now. Your carb linkage is not the same as mine. You might want to get some more info from other sources before doing anything. If you look at my pic, my kick down is connected to the bottom where yours does not have anything. My carb is a double pumper designed for a Ford. I am thinking that yours is a Ford also but is made just for a rod. I would call the guys at the link I gave and see if they can provide some answers. They might tell you to change the throttle shaft or something if you are gonna use that carb.

Dang! I missed that also. Your carb does not have the ball stud for the carb cable. It requires a certain size as there are several size ball studs. Our cars all have the same size. Do you have the origional carb to match the ball stud with?
Edit: The answer is yes provided you get the ball stud.

    Yes, throttle cable.
Did you change from a 6 to 8?
Those 2 barrel carbs have the stud size for comparisson, unless you check and see that one will unbolt, I doubt it. You can buy the stud but you need to know what size. That's where the comparrison comes in handy.

No, Ford has the specific size.
All I ever read about swaping to an 8 is that the cable will not work. Looking at my 75 with a 6 I see that it will not work.

Yes. Again, you need a V8 throttle cable with the bracket.

The throttle cable has a bracket to hold it at the back of the carb. Give me a second and I will show you one. I sold mine when I bought my set up. On my pic you can see where the two cables are bolted to at the back of the carb.

See if you can make it out. If you notice, there is a red piece. That piece is used on an after market V8 intake. Otherwise the bracket bolts to the factory 2 barrel intake intake. This is exactly what you need if you want to use a factory style throttle cable. If you do not have the cable then check the price and see if you want to get the Lokar. I am sure some one here has the factory set up..hopefuly.

Now you got me. I don't know if the bracket will work because it is desigend for the 2 barrel. When I bought my 4 barrel Performer intake it came with that adaptor plate to be able to use the factory bracket. Our cars did not come with a 4 barrel so my guess is that it will not bolt up, but that is something I have not come across, sorry.
It may be that the fastest and simplest solution is to go to the Lokar cables and bracket. Hopefuly someone that has done this will chime in for you.
