I just got off the phone with Hawk. They are tossing around the idea of making brake pads for Mavericks if the demand seems strong enough. I gave them a big "hell yes" vote for everyone. I made sure to mention that Akebono and Porterfield are already making pads for Mavericks.

Please contact them with encouraging words if you're interested.

I've never had problems finding Maverick brake pads at any parts store before.

With all the Granada disc brake swaps with the Mustang/Falcon guys I'm sure the demand is out there. Like Ray says, they are not hard to find.

The mav is gone but i'm still here!
Hawk is more performance oriented stuff, there is a void there.
As most of us can only get stock replacement or premium pads.

Performance rotors are out there, but i've never seen affordable performance pads for the granada/mav caliper.

Like Maverick75 said, Hawk is one of the leading producers in high performance brake pads at a reasonable cost. I've been looking for pads for perfromance pads for a street car with little luck. The closest I've found are Porterfields or Akebonos. Porterfields got good reviews but are pricey. Akebonos got good reviews when they are warm but were mixed on initial stop and when cold or wet.

Stock organic replacements are easy to find. I'm looking for a good quality bonded semi-metallic and that's hard to find. Several people suggested Raybestos but they only got 2 out of 5 stars for stopping power on one website I looked at. My search will continue......

JC Whitney has the Pro Act ceramic for $46.99 or the Euro Ultra for $83.99. I found Porterfields for $75.
