I would like to know if i can use a stock v8 crossmember. I have a 70 I think the trans tunnel is a little smaller than later years. So any mods to trans tunnel? Next i have a cable set up not hydraulic. What mods are in store to hook up cable to pedal. Your replies are appreciated.

You won't be able to use a V8 crossmember as is, you will have to mod it. Yes the trans tunnel is smaller, but with any Mav there are some tunnel mods required to get proper fitment. The cable setup is pretty easy. Mustang Steve has a part that welds onto your existing clutch pedal to swap it to a cable linkage. After that the cowl floor just needs a little clearancing ala hammer, and you need a plate to reinforce/hold the cable where it comes through the firewall (Mustang Steve sells that as well, but a bit pricey).

Parts can be found here http://www.mustangsteve.com/cable.html

Yep, mods required. The T5 mounting pads sit almost 1 1/2" farther rearward. Turned the crossmember around backwards. Had to oblong the bolt holes at the mounting ears and the tranny mount. Small portion of the top of the crossmember needed cut out to clear one of the mounting horns (passenger side?). The front of the crossmember contacted the "belly" of the trans, cut a window in the crossmember for clearance. The T5s shifter tube runs into the top of the tunnel, had to split open the tunnel top and add metal. And get a good aftermarket shifter, the stock shifter sucks.
