Hey guys just inhereited a 1972 mercury comet , big straight line 6 ,3speed. has 44,000 miles on it . was My grandmothers car , when she bought it she dropped me off a 64 corvair Spyder !! Thats another forum !! Any way she moved to KY from AZ and the car has sat in a garge to this day , PERECT body but need interior work badly. AZ sunshine did its damage , so looking for a good place to find parts and interior pieces. Also would like a set of Nice vintage wheels and Maybe a front and rear spoilers. any help in where to look would be great !!!
Welcome. No one is reproducing interior hard parts so youll have to get used ones. Theyre not that hard to find. Also you can dye them so think about that if you cant find them in your color. The carpet is available new, you can get it from ACC. The seat covers can be had from a member on here that is making them. Also you can have an auto Interior shop make em for you. My car is also from AZ so i know youll have a cracked dash. On ebay you can find dash caps, they snap over it and make it look like new without having to replace it.

Thanks Guys I'm a chevyman but I promised My Mom I would fix it up !!! I am really excited to get started , but I have to get My buds car trailer , and go to Louisville and get it UNBURRIED and out of Dads garage !!!! Not been ran in at least 16 years , so I will be asking lots of questions !! Who knows I looked at alot of the pics on here and already have some great ideas !!!
Welcome to the board. The Maverick Comet Group had their annual Gathering in Elizabethtown a few years ago. Awesome place. We also have a member that lives there.
