Going out today and try and figure out the wiring.
Man at the power! had the whole road covered in smoke from "getting" on it while pulling out my drive way. lol
Im loving this car, the look, sound, feel everything about it.
hopefully someone close ould like to meet up and help show me things about the car.

    Update.
    I got the tach working.
    Brakes bled
    some wiring fixed "brakelights,underdash,"
    oil change and filter
    spark plugs
    now for the "odd" news.

2 of the spark plugs were LOOSE. I could turn them by hand."maybe they vibrated out?
also 2 diffrent spark plug wires were loose and not seated on the plugs.
once done under hood, I cranked the car and it seemed to run better. "till it got warm"
While warming up the oil psi before plug change was around 52psi.
While warming up after was at 58psi.

Once the engine was warm before plug change psi was at 55
    Now its at 52psi.

Im gonna look and double check plugs again. maybe one came loose?

^also on all 8 plugs there was oil coated on the threads, but not on the tips.

Jason, if you're holding 52 lbs of oil pressure, that's great! No need to worry about that, especially for a driver. A lot of engines will drop down to 10-20 lbs at idle but pick back up at take off. As for the oil on the spark plug threads, probably from a leaky valve cover gasket. The little pocket where the spark plug screws into the head is bad about holding a bit of oil if you have a leak on that side. Change the gaskets and you will likely fix that problem.

Jason, now that I see the pics [my original post was from my phone, takes pics forever to load so I usually skip'em], I have seen that car before! You bought it on US 82 over at Maplesville, didn't you? I wanted to stop and look at it myself, but there wasn't room to park the big truck. Only things I didn't care for was the CJ style scoop on the Grabber hood and those 3 spoke wheels. I didn't know it was a 4 speed or I would have went back in the pickup to look at it!

I am located 36 miles north of Tuscaloosa just off of US43 on AL 18. Jared Hodges is over at Dora, so we are both fairly close to you. There is a cruise in held the first Sat of every month in Jasper at the mall in the JC Penney's parking lot. I usually try to attend them, but missed yesterday and will miss the next one too because I'm repainting mine right now. The next one I will get to go to will be Oct 2. Bring it on over and we'll have a mini Maverick meet! Maybe Jared will have his running by then too.(y)

^Yes, I bought it from there. That is where my uncle lives, I got it from him.
I live 20 min from "west blocton" if you know where that is? its only 25 min from
Tuscaloosa. The rims will be gone as soonas I can find some rims and tires.
Im doing alot of searching for parts and info now

It will be at least december before I replace the rims on the car.
I found a guy down the road that has about 15 sets of rims that have came off
his other cars over the years.
Depending on the route I go with this car will depend on what type rims I use.
Thanks for the offer though. I dont plan on driving the car much till then cause I am
fixing all the other stuff that needs done to make it more reliable.
