Does anyone have a picture of the retaining washer that keeps the remote lever in the door as you tighten the bezel? Better yet, pictures and where I can get one would be great.

    Thanks

Thanks for the pictures. Does it just slide over the threaded end? Any idea where to find one?

It goes on the remote lever "before" it goes through the inside of the door, then the bezel screws on the outside to retain it. That is why most of the mirrors don't have them, because they fall off when they are removed and are not noticed. I parted out a Mav one time that had 2 of them in the bottom of the door.

I realize this thread is a little old but wanted to report on my good fortune regarding this washer. 30 years ago I dismantled a Maverick but kept everything but the biggest parts. After reading this thread I wondered if I could find that washer because the sport mirrors I bought didn't have it. I couldn't believe my good luck because when I got my 5 lb. coffee can of bolts and nuts the washer was sitting right on the very top!
