Does anyone know where I can get the Grabber stripes for my 72? They are a yellow/gold color with a red accent stripe. I've tried Stencils and Stripes and Graphics Express and they have both said that no one makes that color anymore. Funny thing is, Graphics Express has a picture of the color I need on a 72 Grabber hood. Still working on painting them on. At least I can get the right color...
I thought both of those companies indicate custom color combo's are available if you call for a price quote .... BTW ... Graphics Express makes the kits for Stencil's and Stripes ... I do see under the picture of the one you need that it is not available ... Perhaps the Mustard Yellow is not available in Car quality 3M vinyl ..
The guy at Graphics Express said that 3M did not make that color-it was a 70's color and no longer available anywhere.
Guess you will have to settle for a different shade of yellow. I think I would rather have the wrong shade vinyl stripes than painted on stripes .. but that is up to you. Don't bother looking for NOS stripes ... even if you found them the adhesive wouldn't be any good and the viny would probably be brittle ... They do show a Gold but it is metallic ...
