so i went ahead and installed a new dual res. (front/back) master cylinder booster combo and did the explorer rear disc conversion. not 100% sure i dont have a small leak somewhere but my problem is i still have a soft pedal. i push the brake pedal and the lights dont light up until a few inches from bottoming out.

    my variables are this...
----im still using the original drum/drum distribution block (i have one for a disc brake car)
---- i also threw in a summit adjustable prop valve to regulate fluid to the rear and not sure if i ever really needed it
---maybe i need a power brake pedal??
any ideas before i start tearing everything apart, reflaring these old lines and finding the right fittings can be a p.i.t.a so any suggestions would be appreciated.

Go with Mashori on this bench bleeding a master a must do. U can even do it in car if you have some spare fittings and tubing lying a round, also check the push rod length, that is also extremely important in the operation and pedal feel.

Power brakes have a different pedal ratio than manual brakes...Locat a power brk pedal or do a lttle searching through the forum. There is a thread that discussed the ratio and the difference in the pedals...Good luck!!!
