Hi everyone, just got my first Comet in last week. I am not new to the hobby, but new to maverick/comet's. My wife saw a grabber green maverick at a July 4th car show and had to have one, this car is a long way from being nice, but it is a real comet GT with a 302/4bbl. I have the original steel magnum wheels for it (they were in the trunk/backseat). I am looking for the following parts: Rust free doors/Rust free hood or fiberglass hood/rust free trunk lid or fiberglass trunk lid/front seats/automatic shifter assembly (aftermarket or stock in nice shape)/small bumper conversion items (the front will be maverick style bumpers)/black door panels and arm rests. If anyone has these items or has a lead on them, please let me know. I am located in Massachusetts. Here are pics of the car
Glad you found something to work with. Does it have disc brakes? I can't tell what year it is. I wanted to think it is a 73-74 by the stripes. The big rear bumper looks like 75 and the front and hood are from a Maverick.. With the exception of the big bumpers, this is the look alot of guys like. The Comet tail lights and front Maverick I mean..
The car is a 74 Gt, it does not have disc brakes (surprising). The car needs a lot of work, but i get them because i enjoy the work and enjoy the process. Once i find all the parts i need, i will get to work!
