    New member. Have had this 72 Comet GT for a few years. Oklahoma barn find advertised on EBAY and purchased when I was stationed in Kansas. Moved to PHX a year ago and my bro and I are working on it as a Rat Rod considering it kinda looks that way right now. Originally bought for wife as she always had fond memories of traveling in her Comet post high school to California from Minnesota and back. Buying the GT allowed me to pre-empt any potential 4 door 6 cylinder versions from gracing our doorsteps. Other Classics pushing out daily reliable transportation from garage include a 73 Porsche 911 Targa, 62 Skylark, 67 Austin Mini Woody Wagon, and 60 BSA Super Rocket. Career Military.

    Thanks, Bob. Looks like you have some cool projects going. We have got the headers on, rear end done, and Hurst shifter in. Will be going to Good Guys of Scottsdale in November to hang out for the weekend. Did not see any MAVCOMs out there last year. Gary

    Just looked at your image - red with black stripes is a real classic color combo you have there. Nice looking Comet. :thumbs2:

    Old Guy and Still In

    Yep. Still in and cruising to 30 from 26. Thought I would retire at 20 but still having fun. I am in Public Health now and have been in NavAir, Army Airborne, and Air Force. Just got back the the SE Pacific aboard the USNS Mercy Hospital Ship. A great helping out but glad to be back to work on the Comet and all else as weather cools off here. Have you thought about putting on a Western Rally- looks like East and Central is covered ?
    Easier to root for the Wild married to this Minnesota Girl. Less beer bottles thrown my way. :)
