man im glad theres more comet lovers out here!!!!!!!!heres alittle info on my car,it was my first car when i was 16 (im 44 now) i did everything in and with her it is orange with a white side stripe and it is a gt v8 with a stick (was 3 now a 4speed) i sank a ton of money into her it was addicting then i got the idea to sell my comet and did but then i met a girl and got married and come to find out her father was the guy i sold the car to well long story short i was able to buy it back after a year or so then we fell on hard times and i sold it to save the house and its been 23+ years later and i miss that old car........we,ll i was at the all ford swapmeet 2yrs ago and low n behold there it was sitting in the same shape that i left it 23+ years earlyer but faded and the side decal was scratched and cracked and forsale!!! but at the time i had no cash so i got the guys number and tryed calling him last week and its was still in his ownership until last friday i drove 8hrs and bought my toy back for the last time. i have a ton of plans for the rebuild and will be on this site alot getting some ideas and info.
comet gt yeah im not sure if its me or the car but we keep getting back together and im sure this is the last time!!! man did i miss it i still cant sleep!!!! my dad and rebuilt the motor way back when i was like 17 and my grandfather even laid under the car to help work on it lots of memories.

Welcome aboard! Great story. Not too many people are lucky enough to do that. A lot of people have gotten on here over the years in hopes of finding their car but never any luck that I know of.
my toy wow what a response i am from ashtabula ohio witch is about 30 miles east of cleveland and am going to break the news to my parents tomorrow,because it was such a big part of my life and they helped me work on it so much they are going to be blown away.
