What about the steering gear? It's a different ratio.

The PS gear (without power assist) is harder to turn
when parking than the manual steering gear would be.

You can remove the pump and hoses and the ram. But you are going to have some pretty sloppy steering without any other modifications. Better to use a ps control valve adapter or converting to manual steering.

Most guys prefer to keep the PS gear actually.

Run a belt from the crank to the water pump and alternator. You most likely will need to swap out the WP pulley.

That should already be driven by the alt belt. If not reconfigure it that way.

the belt goes from water pump to smaller part crank to ps, and other one is from alt to larger cranck pulley. the alt sticks out bout half inch further than water pump.

Look at the pulley on your alternator. Now look down and youll see that it will line up with a pulley on the crank. Now you need to find a WP pulley that will line up with both of those. Like off a car that came with manual steering, post an ad in the wanted section. Also theres a bunch of pulleys out there so if you do buy one from someone else get the measurements and see if theyll line up. If its only a couple of mms off then shims are available.
