cost $100 on ebay and they work great you just have to rewire the ground and power since our cars cant hold up to that power
Those are NOT real HID. Real kits are 700 bucks. They are simply light spectrum restricted incandescent bulbs and to make up for the lumens loss caused by the blue paint on the bulb they are 100 watt bulbs which are not legal. Those suckers get soooo hot and will eventually melt that cheap plastic housing they came with, ask me how I know. Made in Red China. No DOT #'s on the lense...not legal. 100 watts ...not legal. I went there...went back to real bulbs. Too ricey..cheap. If you run the OSRAM Sylvannia High Performance Halogens, they give you more lumens( that means visible light) and in a spectrum the human eye is able to see in. they are 55/65 watt low/high beam. They benefit greatly from the relay mod, that provides full battery voltage to the bulb. My lights are sooo bright white and strong... Ever try working in the dark with an LED flashlight?? Not the right light spectrum for the eye. In case anybody want to know, Sylvannia H 6024 ST are the sealed bulbs direct fit. They are basically an H4 bulb in a sealed glass housing. Not plastic. http://www.sylvaniaautocatalog.com/sylvania/ProductBrowse_Highp_SilverStar.asp?BepartNo=&BatchId=70&ProductNumber=H6024%20ST&PartNo=%20ST,%20%20ST
well i got the headlights off ebay bought the xeon kit seperate. or how ever you spell it. my wattz are 6000 i had used sylvannia's before and was disapointed. i do not care about whats legal and whats not. btw the bulb isnt painted blue. so before you bash something know some information on it first. i would like to see your lights btw thank you thank you.
Coming right up... Nice blue paint on that Mav!!! Sweet ride! Hey....you DID say "halogen HID, ebay 100.00. What am I supposed to think. Xenon HID is a little different as there is no such thing as Halogen HID. The high voltage ignites the Xenon gas between electrodes.. No filament like the Halogens. I even caught a wrangler driving by for a comparison. I had the EbaY 100 dollar fakes in there for a while...with the blue halo. I hope your set up work s for you.. Nothing is permanent. When I studied up on light color temp, visual (see-able) light spectrums the more I realized that what I wanted was to see ahead of me at night. The blue-r you go the darker (less lumen) you have...that's why they have to have more watts. to make up. And the more it's like seeing in black and white. The rods and cones in your eyes..ah. :0 My lights are on the verge of bluish ness but are white hot! Probably 5800 kelvin or so. I measured my bat voltage with my old lights on, engine running, bulb hanging out. 14.4 volts at the battery, 12.2 at the bulb. I ran 10 ga. wire to the bulbs via the relays, actuating the relays with one of the headlight sockets.just stuck spade connectors in the old plug. Now I still have 14.4v at the battery and 14.2 at the new bulb with the headlight on!! The bulbs are Sylvannia Siverstar H 6024 ST. They are basically H4 Xenon bulbs in a real glass sealed bulb. http://www.sylvaniaautocatalog.com/sylvania/ProductBrowse_Highp_SilverStar.asp?BepartNo=&BatchId=70&ProductNumber=H6024%20ST&PartNo=%20ST,%20%20ST I have them in my Ford Econoline, Comet.. 7" bulbs. I wish they made them in 5" for my Dodge Coronet..they are that good..if you get the 14 volts to them.
